I’m an award-winning, festival-appearing filmmaker, aspiring photographer, and neophyte painter. Currently, I am working on a documentary about the only punk/metal venue in Rockaway Beach, NY that was forced to close because of anticipated gentrification the British band, I am also co-writing a book about film production pedagogy and writing a solo article about refining and diversifying the teaching of early film content and history for today’s audiences. I have degrees from Sarah Lawrence College (B.A.) and City College (M.F.A.) exactly 20 years apart – you can change anything if you really want, you know? I have been teaching at media theory, film history, and media production at Queensborough since 2006, where I wrote a new degree program in Media Production for the college, Film and Media Production (FMP).
